Intellectual Property Workshop – Friday 22nd June

Places are still available for the Intellectual Property workshop on Friday 22nd June, 9.30am – 12pm.

This workshop provides a basic introduction to Intellectual Property and Commercialisation, including:

  • What is IP?
  • Why is it important and what benefits can it have for industrial engagement and research impact
  • The principles of protecting IP – what is protectable and what is the process involved?
  • Inventorship & Ownership and what is the process for commercialising IP at the University of Liverpool
  • Routes of commercialisation
  • IP Do’s & Don’ts

The workshop is part of the One-Day Events Skills Summer School and will take place in the Graduate School Suite (2nd Floor, University Lecture Building) http://www.liv.ac.uk/gradschool/suitelocation.htm

The workshop is open to all PGRs and operates on a first-come-first-served basis.  Refreshments will be available.
