A Multi-media Online Event – 3rd May – 20th May – Final Call for registration

This event is an online opportunity to display your research to researchers outside your research area, or to a wider public and replaces the event offered previously as ‘Poster Day Online’.

3rd May – 20th May – open to all postgraduate researchers at Liverpool

>> Registration form**

There are two parts to this event and you may select to join either part:

1. A display of Online posters or other multi-media.

You may submit a poster in pdf form or other multi-media format, providing that these are aimed at a wider public and contain no issues of confidentiality –  see the related information on our website   >> Further Guidelines

(This is a direct replacement for Poster Day Online offered in previous years)

2. The Three Minute Thesis competition

Can you present your research topic in three minutes with just one PowerPoint slide and no additional props?

You will need to communicate your research question, key results and conclusions in a language that can be understood by a non-specialist audience, in just three minutes. You are allowed a single Powerpoint slide.

For this online semi-finals you will need to prepare a 3 minute video of yourself presenting in front of your slide.

We can offer further guidance, practice sessions and are prepared to film your presentation for this online event.

Full guidelines and further advice are available on the PGR Development website.

The Online event

There will be opportunities for online discussions in both areas of the event, facilitated by email notification,  to help you interchange knowledge and experience for researchers in different fields.

** Registration is extended to 2nd May, but please contact Shirley Cooper if you register after 25th April.
