represents a useful skill for research. Ultimately, the PhD may be the first
project in a longer professional career, regardless of the career choice,
within or outside academia.
There are many ways how you can improve your
project management skills. Examples include:
- Breaking your research goals into small tasks and setting clear
goals to finish each task. For example, collecting data can entail several
tasks that need to be well planned: getting your ethics approved,
preparing questions for surveys, preparing for travel, or visiting the
library, and so on.

priorities and time management is vital. Time is essential for any
