New Career events – from Networking to Interviews – booking open for all events

PGR Development are pleased to offer the following events on campus to PGRs to help prepare for their on-going career. These workshops support the different stages of career preparation from, an introduction to the essential skills in career management; networking for your career; making an impact at work; advice to help make effective academic applications and practicing your interview skills.  The sessions are given by two external consultants who have a wide experience in delivering events for personal  and career development.

The workshops supplement our provision for the online Career Development Portfolio, but are open to all PhD students at Liverpool.

The sessions and dates are as follows. Each event is repeated later in the year. Please follow the links below for further information.

Use the above links to book your place. However,  places are restricted to 15 per workshop. Please, only book a place if you are sure that you can attend on that date.  If subscription is high we may need to limit attendance to a maximum of two workshops.

You may also want to consider our next Career Development Networking Event, which takes place on the 14th Feb, 13:30 Until 15:15 on campus. The event is aimed at those on the Career Development Portfolio, but is open to all PGRs at Liverpool. We are using a revised format for this workshop, with  guest speaker,  Dr Sarah Blackford, Head of Education & Public Affairs at the Society for Experimental Biology.
