Preparing for your future career – opportunities in Autumn 2016

Below we describe a range of opportunities, workshops and courses, to help you plan and gain relevant experience for your ongoing career. These opportunities are available to all PGRs at all stages of their degree. This year we are pleased to introduce  career-focussed webinars delivered by an external consultant.

Career day at the LDC Researcher week

 The LDC Postgraduate Researcher Week has a careers focus on Friday 14th October with sessions that include ‘What the statistics say & PGR development opportunities’, ‘What come next? PGR Careers’ and ‘Starting up! An introduction to Enterprise’.

Career Planning:

The next online course this academic year for those wanting to develop a personal career plan is APRC101, running from 24th October – 5 December 2016.

Placements and other Opportunities

The Liverpool Doctoral College is continuing its  Placement scheme in 2016-2017. Further details will be provided in LDC Researcher week. See  the LDC intranet for further details.

Teaching opportunities in local Schools: the University of Liverpool Widening Participation are working with the Brilliant Club, to offer a part-time placement opportunity to teach   short sessions in schools, to introduce your research to secondary school pupils.
