The LDC Development Team is a small team and is based within the Liverpool Doctoral College. The team provide a flexible programme that supports all postgraduate research students with their on-going professional and personal development.  This central programme has been designed to provide a range of opportunities that effectively help prepare PGRs in becoming successful researchers and plan for their future careers.

Our programme includes a range of face to face and online workshops focussing on:

• Writing skills, and writing for the wider public
• Presentation skills
• Public Engagement
• Design Thinking

Through a blended offering, the programme caters fully for all PGRs, including those based off campus or who have extensive laboratory based schedules. PGRs can choose between online courses, hour long webinars, short, half day and full day workshop on campus and these are supplemented by a wide range of online resources.

We are also running a Development Tutor assistant scheme to offer them training and opportunities to work with the programme, to help them further develop their teaching skills, including the support of opportunities for PGRs create their own development workshops.

The LDC Development team also provides support for the PGR Toolbox in Liverpool Life.
